Prerequisites

  • Basic computer file management skills (e.g., creating, saving, and uploading files). 

Recommended: Previous experience with PowerPoint or similar presentation software (e.g., the Teacher’s Academy course: PowerPoint for Educators). 

Materials

  • Internet Access 
  • Any word processing program (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs) 
  • PowerPoint or other presentation software (e.g., Google Slides) 
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 11.1.01 or later.

  • Rethink the Myth of Average: Analyze the “Myth of Average” and respond to the video, reflecting on new ways to approach lesson planning for diverse learners, achieving 100% completion. 
  • Redesign Lessons Using UDL: Redesign a lesson using Universal Design for Learning principles to ensure all students are engaged and challenged, with 100% completion. 
  • Create a UDL Presentation: Design and present a multimedia presentation that demonstrates the application of UDL principles in lesson design, with 100% completion.
