Mastering the Digital Classroom: Google Slides for Educators
As schools move towards cloud-based software, teachers must stay ahead of the technology curve. The Teacher’s Academy is proud to offer this 15-hour course for professional development on Google Slides in response to teacher requests. In this course, you will research the value and pitfalls of using multimedia in the classroom and compare Google’s lean cloud-based technology with Microsoft’s ubiquitous PowerPoint software.
Projects for this course include creating three presentations:
A Linear Presentation that progresses from one slide to the next in order.
A Menu Driven Presentation that allows the user to choose which slide to visit first.
An Interactive Presentation that allows the user to interact with the software randomly.
Earn 15 hours of professional development building presentations that you can use immediately in your classroom and acquire skills you can use for a lifetime (or until a new presentation software emerges, for which we will provide a course as well!).
