Prerequisites

• Basic computer file management knowledge, e.g. opening, saving and uploading files, etc.
• Basic Internet skills, e.g. searching, bookmarks, accessing web pages, creating an account

You will use the free online presentation software, Prezi, to create a business plan presentation for one of your projects. Directions are included in this text, but may change due to the nature of the Internet

Professional Learning Objectives

Teachers will…

  1. Use course text and guided instruction to analyze existing lesson plan activities then the activities to be differentiated, align with academic standards, and support student-centered learning with 100% completion.
  2. Use course text and guided instruction to identify errors and improvements to be made in a mock resume, execute the appropriate corrections to enhance the resume and provide a written response to reflection questions with 100% completion.
  3. Use course text, guided instruction and digital resources provided in the course materials to research and evaluate the best instructional methods that will help develop age appropriate speaking and listening skills. Using these methods, teachers will create an activity that enhances speaking and listening skills and provide a written response to reflection questions with 100% completion.
  4. Use course text and guided instruction to plan and create a Prezi® business plan presentation for use in the classroom with 100% completion.
  5. Use course text, guided instruction and digital resources provided in the course materials to research and evaluate the best instructional methods that will help develop an age- appropriate understanding of the Stock Market. Using these methods, teachers will create an activity that engages students in dynamic practice activities that involve investing, buying or selling stocks, researching Stock Market events, or other teacher-developed, aligned activity with 100% completion.
  6. Use course text, guided instruction and digital resources provided in the course materials to research and evaluate skills required for success in a variety of 21st century careers. Using these methods, teachers will provide written completion of (3) skills templates that require a listing of appropriate content knowledge, soft skills and specific activities that will support the pursuit of a specified 21st century careers with 100% completion. Teachers will also provide a written response to 21st century career reflection questions with 100% completion.
