Professional Development Hours for Idaho Teachers

Educator after completing professional development for Idaho teachers

In Idaho, teachers are required to complete six (6) semester credits every five years to maintain an active teaching certificate. Professional development for Idaho teachers must align with these guidelines to ensure the credits support the teacher’s growth and certification.

These credits must be educationally related to the Individualized Professional Learning Plan (IPLP) or the professional practice of the teacher. If the required credits are not completed during the certificate’s validity period, the teacher’s certificate will lapse, and reinstatement will be required through the Idaho State Department of Education.

Benefits of Our Courses:

  • Affordable: Teachers can earn all 120 hours of professional development required to renew their license for less than the cost of a single college course.
  • Convenient: Our self-paced online courses can be accessed anytime, allowing educators to fit professional development into their busy schedules.
  • Effective: Our courses are designed to support Idaho teachers’ specific needs for license renewal, with a focus on practical application in the classroom.

Our courses are created by certified teachers who understand the pressures educators face. Many assignments are adaptable for use with current students, allowing teachers to apply what they learn immediately in the classroom. Other assignments are designed for future use. Every course is designed to support and inspire teachers while providing them with educators’ valid continuing education units.
